According to information posted on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions in seven frontline areas over the past day, March 26. The largest number of combat engagements took place in the Novopavlivka sector, with a total of 67 recorded.
Ukrainian troops continue active operations and inflict losses on the occupation forces
According to the military command, the Ukrainian military continues to act actively, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces aviation struck at:
- 2 control points;
- 8 areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment are concentrated.
Missile troops also struck at:
- 1 air defense unit;
- 1 artillery unit;
- 1 enemy ammunition depot.
Russian Army Carries Out Massive Attacks and Terrorist Actions in Ukraine
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has launched 5 missile and 74 air strikes, as well as 152 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems on Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas. These attacks resulted in civilian casualties, which is a terrible consequence of Russian terrorist actions.
At night, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine again, using 13 Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles. The Ukrainian air defense managed to destroy 10 of them.
In addition, populated areas were targeted by air strikes over the past day, in particular:
- Novoyehorivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka in Kharkiv region;
- Bilohorivka in Luhansk region;
- Terny, Yampolivka, Vesele, Kurdyumivka, Chasiv Yar, Berdychi, Novopokrovske, Novomykhailivka, Mykilske, Karlivka, Umanske, Semenivka, Krasnohorivka, Oleksandrivka, Staromayorske in Donetsk region;
- Malynivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
More than 130 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
The situation in different frontline areas
There are no significant changes in the operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sectors, the enemy continues to maintain its military presence in the border areas, conducting sabotage operations to keep troops against it and increase the density of minefields along the state border.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy made only one futile attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops near Ivanivka in Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 13 enemy attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka (Luhansk region), Terna, Yampolivka, and other settlements (Donetsk region), where the enemy used air power to break through the Ukrainian troops’ defense.
In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks in the areas of Ivanivske, Bohdanivka, and Klishchiyivka (Donetsk region).
In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Semenivka, Nevelske, and Pervomaiske (Donetsk region).
In the Novopavlivka sector, defense forces continued to hold back the enemy near Novomykhailivka, Heorhiivka, and Urozhayne, where the enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian troops’ defense 26 times with the help of aviation.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 7 times near Staromayorske (Donetsk region), Robotyne, and Verbove (Zaporizhzhia region) using aircraft.
In the Kherson sector, the enemy continues to try to drive Ukrainian troops from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, enemy forces made three futile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of Krynka (Kherson region).
