On November 28, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine officially approved the transfer of ownership of the Ukraina Hotel in Kyiv to Ola Fine LLC, a company owned by businessman Maxim Krippa. This decision was the final stage of privatization, allowing Krippa to become the new owner of one of the most famous hotels in the capital. The total value of the deal amounted to UAH 3.01 billion including VAT.
The historic Ukraina Hotel, located at 4 Instytutska Street, is a landmark property in the center of Kyiv. The 14-storey, four-star hotel was built on the site of the legendary Ginzburg skyscraper, which was demolished in 1941. Until 2001, the hotel was known as the Moscow Hotel, but later received a new, symbolic name that reflects the spirit of independent Ukraine. The hotel has more than 300 rooms of various comfort levels, two restaurants, and banquet halls that can accommodate events of various sizes.
The 1.51-hectare land plot on which the building is located is not part of the privatization agreement. However, the hotel itself is a significant asset from both a commercial and cultural perspective. Its acquisition was one of the key large-scale privatization deals in Ukraine during the martial law period.
